HOW TO FORMULATE OLEOGELS

Date: 15th May 2021 @ 16:00-19:00 GMT ( Check the local time for you here.)

Location: Online event - link will be emailed 1 week before the event.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE LIVE MASTERCLASS?

Prior to the masterclass we will email you the theory notes on oleogels and key ingredients. Please have a read through these before you attend the live session.
We want you to get the most value out of the live masterclass and will therefore spend the time formulating live and showing you how these products and key ingredients work rather than working through presentations. You can of course, ask us questions about the theory notes and will have them to keep so you can refer back to them at anytime.

Oleogels are superb products which are not only aesthetically pleasing but they require no preservative. They are also known as oily gels and are often used to create cleansing products, although they can also be amazing moisturisers. In the past few years most oleogels were made using the Sucragel series but formulators, especially if making the gels by hand, faced stability issues. Now, however, we have more choices in how we make oleogels and we will be showing you just how easy it is.

In this masterclass we will show you how to:

  • work with Sucragel. It has various forms so we will talk about them in detail

  • make oleogels using Sucrose Stearate

  • make oleogels using Sapogel

We will be showing you the formulating process live. We will discuss the process with you, then show you the steps to follow and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask all the questions you’d like as we go.

We will also discuss how you can personalise your formulation based on ingredients, target market, even packaging.

The session will end with a live Q&A so you can give the formula a try in your own time with confidence.
