Make a juniper & cedar shower gel for men

DAY 4

Today we are making a product for men. :) They need to be pampered too, right?

This is a shower gel with a slightly more complex scent blend but of course, this can be omitted or personalised to your liking. I love it and my other half does too which is rare. He prefers synthetic scents or it may be that I could never blend essential oils to his liking. Well…

I used 3 different surfactants; for cleansing power and to make it a bit gentler. Panthenol and glycerine are a must-have in shower products ( for me at least :). As with all formulas, you can omit or replace ingredients but make sure the total comes to 100%.

PERSONALISATION

• You can replace the surfactants, but check how they cleanse and foam. This info is given by the supplier if you are unsure.

• You can change the thickening agent (gum).

• If you feel this is too runny for you, increase the xanthan to 1.5%.

• Pay attention to the pH, it affects viscosity.
