Make a coral dry body oil

For 12 days we will be publishing one formula a day that you can copy or personalise this holiday season.

DAY 3

Fantastic colour paired with an amazing skin feel. Yep, this is today’s dry body oil formula.

Dry oils can be used alone as part of the body skincare routine or they can be layered. What’s more, they can be used on your hair or even nails. If you feel it is not nourishing enough, dry oils can be followed by a moisturising lotion. As the name suggests, this kind of body oil is fast absorbing, light and it will not leave a sticky, greasy residue on the skin.

This formula has an out of this world coral red colour due to the infused oil and it has a sweet, slightly fruity scent. As always, you can find some recommendations below for personalisation. Enjoy:)

PERSONALISATION

  • You can replace any of the oils with other “dry” oils such as hazelnut, rosehip, borage, sesame oils. I like fractionated coconut in body oil as it is easily found and relatively cheap to purchase.

  • You can reduce the alkanet infusion for a more subtle colour.

  • Add your own favourite scent.

HOW TO USE

Body - Pour a small amount of oil into your palm and massage it into warm, still damp skin to lock in moisture.

Nails - Apply a few drops onto cuticles after a manicure.

Hair - Apply a small amount onto the ends of the hair. It will help tame frizz and will not weigh your hair down.
